Simon Pegg, Nick Frost Join Tintin Cast

Cheeky Brits Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will appear as the Thompson Twins in Tintin, the feature film adaptation of the comic strip to be directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson. The film will feature 3-D performance capture technology.

Pegg and Frost are no strangers to working together, having garnered critical praise for their work in Shaun of the Dead, among other endeavors. In the comic, the Thompson Twins are a pair of clumsy, incompetent detectives who can only be distinguished from one another by the shapes of their different mustaches. One of the twins is named Thompson and the other is named Thomson, without the "P."

Andy Serkis has accepted the role of Tintin's sidekick, Captain Haddock. The pivotal part of Tintin, however, has yet to be cast.
