Solange covers the new (August 2014) issue of Lucky and in it, the singer and Beyoncé's little sister does not really address the May 2014 elevator fight with Bey's hubby and her brother-in-law Jay-Z.
Essentially, Sol punched and kicked The Hova in an elevator at the Met Gala in NYC, while everyone was all dressed up in their Sunday best, and the footage leaked and it became a BIG deal in the media.
"What's important is that my family and I are all good," Solange said. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."
Okay, got it.
After the footage leaked, the trio issued a very generic statement about the matter, which read as follows, in case you forgot. Clearly, Solange, Beyoncé and Jay Z wanted to put this matter behind them without further elucidation for the public and immediate fashion.
The statement read: "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
It sounds like they addressed it simply because it became public. The Knowles and Carter families have #AlreadyMovedOn.
What do you think of Solange's reference to the fight?
