A voice so good it could wake up the spirits to dance...
Adam Lambert lands our Song of the Week with "Ghost Town." The first single from his forthcoming third full-length studio album, THE ORIGINAL HIGH [Warner Bros. Records], out June 16, bristles with the kind of ethereal energy that only legends can conjure. Red hot off of touring with Queen, Lambert once again draws all eyes and ears to him with a shimmering, soaring, and showstopping anthem.
"Ghost Town" volleys between warm electronics and the singer’s monumental voice. He’s got one of those voices. You know it’s him as soon as he starts singing. His range remains ever-impressive, especially once that expansive and entrancing refrain takes hold. The ability to enchant with nothing more than a microphone is an art that few stars master any more. Lambert’s got it down though. Any ghost town could come to life once he begins, and you’ll most likely find yourself belting along with him.
THE ORIGINAL HIGH boasts big collaborations with Tove Lo and Queen’s Brian May as well as executive production from powerhouses Max Martin and Shellback, but there’s an intimacy that Lambert displays on "Ghost Town." He welcomes you into his world, and he never lets go with his best single yet.
Just wait for the album though, it’ll undoubtedly live up to its title intoxicating in the most pure and wonderful way possible.
Pre-order 'Original High', due out June 16, 2015 on Warner Bros. Records.
