    • Bullet for My Valentine - There's something that can be said for a band that has an audience howling way before they step out on stage. The house lights had not even dimmed for Bullet For My Valentine’s entrance, and the crowd was already chanting song lyrics and attempting to crowd surf – absolutely insane. Once Bullet made their much anticipated entrance the metal heads, moshers, and surfers only grew in their enthusiasm. Through "Your Betrayal" and "Scream Aim Fire," there were more crowd surfers then security knew what to do with. All the while BFMV shredded the faces of non-surfers. Though there was a good mix of songs performed from all three albums their set seemed a tad bit short, only playing about 12 songs. The crowd clearly loved every minute of every song but there was definitely room – and want – for more.-Lilly Ryden

We get a powerful metal masterpiece from the Welsh outfit's new album Venom...

Bullet for My Valentine are winning the battle for metal domination with the latest single from their full-length album Venom [RCA Records], "You Want a Battle? (Here's a War)." The Welsh metallic warriors lock and load the biggest bruiser of their career here, churning out a call-to-arms that could very be like their "Walk" or "Symphony of Destruction." It's that catchy and tight—as any anthem of this caliber should be.

The track couples a calculated a riff attack with vocalist and guitarist Matt Tuck's signature snarl captivating and crushing at every turn. He sounds downright vicious on the verse just before exploding into a massive refrain that's meant to be screamed by 80,000 fans on festival grounds worldwide. He fights back hard, hitting the hot-button topic of bullying head-on and giving fans something tangible for empowerment. Lead guitarist Michael "Padge" Paget brings the fret fire, locking in with Tuck while Michael "Moose" Thomas sounds as fierce as ever behind the drum kit. This is the sound of a band locking into a landmark moment. It's like their Master of Puppets or Through the Ashes of Empires, recalibrating energies into something that's downright definitive.

We've been waiting for a metal record like this all year that's as intricate as it is infectious. This is Bullet For My Valentine's masterpiece and their moment. This is Venom. Make sure you get it on August 14, 2015.
