Song of the Week: Logic – "Under Pressure"
Mon, 29 Sep 2014 10:08:38
"People calling me asking me for money, man, the only thing I'm going to give you motherfuckers is the dial tone," Logic spits on his new single "Under Pressure"—the title track of his long-awaited full-length debut out October 21, 2014.
It's an incisive, yet infectious bar from the Maryland MC, emblematic of his unadulterated mic prowess. That's one of Logic's most striking talents. He can cut deep, but he can do so in a catchy fashion. That's not easy, and it's rare. It's the kind of delivery that made Nas and Eminem what they are. However, Logic maintains his own panache and prowess. The production stands out as eerie and ominous allowing the spotlight to reflect on his robust rhymes and speedy flow. The hook hits like it came right from Floyd Mayweather though.
"Under Pressure" stands out as further proof that 2014 will belong to Logic. He's headed right for the top of the game.
