ARTISTdirect.com has partnered with I Is Another to premiere the track "Queen of Swords." We're so truly, madly and deeply in love with the track that we felt compelled to share it with you. You can thank us later.

It is the first single from I is Another's new self-titled album, due out on Siren Records on June 24.

Now, before you dive into this swirling, sprawling track and start peeling back its many layers, let us educate you with a history lesson on the band.

I Is Another features Jonah Matranga, former frontman for the criminally overlooked and underappreciated Sacto band Far, and Ian Love, former guitarist for Rival Schools, another band that should have been huge, but wasn't. However, those in the know totally "got" the Schools.

If you are familiar with those bands and the pedigree, you know that, right off the bat, this is a home run.

The song has many parts, including a dense, dissonant, buzzy, smash-you-over-the-head breakdown towards the end. But trust us, it's not like that which you'd find on a moshcore album. It sounds like a jagged slab of granite tumbling down the side of a mountain, hitting every bump on the way down.

We love Far and Rival Schools, so we could be a little biased. But listen for yourself. We're confident that you will love "Queen of Swords."
