Song Review: Bullet For My Valentine "No Way Out" -

    Bullet for My Valentine Photos

    • Bullet for My Valentine - There's something that can be said for a band that has an audience howling way before they step out on stage. The house lights had not even dimmed for Bullet For My Valentine’s entrance, and the crowd was already chanting song lyrics and attempting to crowd surf – absolutely insane. Once Bullet made their much anticipated entrance the metal heads, moshers, and surfers only grew in their enthusiasm. Through "Your Betrayal" and "Scream Aim Fire," there were more crowd surfers then security knew what to do with. All the while BFMV shredded the faces of non-surfers. Though there was a good mix of songs performed from all three albums their set seemed a tad bit short, only playing about 12 songs. The crowd clearly loved every minute of every song but there was definitely room – and want – for more.-Lilly Ryden

No Way Out single from Bullet For My Valentine

Bullet For My Valentine get heavy on "No Way Out," the first single from their forthcoming fifth full-length studio album, VENOM [RCA Records], hitting stores on August 14. Following the slamming brilliance of 2013's Temper Temper, the group—Matt Tuck [vocals, guitar], Michael "Padge" Paget [guitar], and Michael "Moose" Thomas [drums]—resurrect the intricacies of thinking man's thrash and modernize it like never before. As a result, the boys have built a 21st century of equivalent of Metallica's Master of Puppets or Megadeth's Rust in Peace (Bonus Tracks) here. "No Way Out" illuminates that a hundredfold.

With production by Carl Brown and Colin Richardson [Slipknot, Machine Head], the album sees them primed to properly take over heavy metal. "No Way Out" couples mind-blowing guitar playing and shredding that never repeats, but rather weaves an intricate attack, with some of Tuck's most potent and powerful lyrics.
