Song Review: Mahogany LOX "Boom" -

New pop princess makes a big bang with single produced by LMFAO's 8ky6lu!

Mahogany LOX makes an explosive debut with her single "Boom"—out now. You might've seen her on the road with Fifth Harmony, Jasmine V, and Jacob Whitesides during The Reflection Tour, which packed venues to capacity across North America this year. You may have also heard her cover of Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" with Fifth Harmony and the other tour mates, which went massively viral. You're certainly familiar with her big bro 8ky 6lu of LMFAO and grandfather Motown Records founder Berry Gordy. However, you're going to get to hear loud and clear why she's bound for pop supremacy on "Boom."

8ky6lu actually handled production, giving the track an undeniable bounce that's immediately unshakable. Still, it's her voice that immediately steals the spotlight. Mahogany LOX boasts a voice that's downright show-stopping, covering everything from a fun croon to a towering delivery on the hook. Girl's got raw talent, and she's not afraid to show it. We don't get this kind of display often enough in pop music, and it's extremely refreshing when it happens. "Boom" announces the arrival of a new star, and it's as exciting as its title hints.

She's carved out a staggering following online with immense social support and rightfully so. They've all recognized the energy in that voice. Now, it's time for her to really explode with "Boom."
