Song Review: MGK "Till I Die" 4.5-out-of-5 stars

MGK never stops punching. Lyrically and rhythmically, he hits as hard as ever on “Till I Die.” It’s the kind of fierce, fast, and focused anthem that have become a signature to Celveland’s finest MC. Lace Up illuminated just how dynamic and deadly he could be behind the mic, and it showed some of his catchier and more emotional side as well. That was why the album stood out so much. Meanwhile, his Black Flag mixtape saw him go straight punk rock, delivering a flurry of furious rhymes at lightspeed, effectively solidifying his spot next to other rapid spitters such as Tech N9ne and Twista.
"Till I Die" bounces between that speed and a knockout hook. It’ll practically brand itself inside your brain, leaving its mark a big flaming “EST.” Dropping bars like, "Bitch, I needed paper, I needed paper. Dreaming of a penthouse and an elevator, the hood taught me don't talk, just walk my Timbos on the curb by the stop sign," MGK is on fire with this one, and that flame will undoubtedly burn even brighter when he drops his next full-length on the unsuspecting masses.
