Sophia Bastian first broke onto the scene back in 2012 with an independent release of her debut, Juvenile Blues EP. From there her cover version of Portishead's "Glory Box" caught the attention of music fans who, like the critics, responded to the smoldering approach to vocal delivery.
Having supported The Roots on tour, and drawing up plans for her sophomore EP Bastian is already showing signs of becoming the kind of writer that explores the creative process as well as her ability to perform.
With her recent single "Rhythm To My Heart" Bastian has once again added depth and intrigue to her next step. ARTISTdirect thought it was a good time to catch up, sit down, and ask the singer songwriter about her musical memories. Here's what she said...
