"Runaway Train" rockers Soul Asylum, who were part of the 1990s alt rock zeitgeist, plan to release their first new record since 2006. Frontman Dave Pirner, a former paramour of Winona Ryder, told Rolling Stone that "I just sent some music out to the rest of the guys. I'm waiting to hear back. At that point, we'll go about finishing up." Expect new Soul Asylum in the next six months.
