Soundgarden to Enter Seattle Studio in a Week

Chris Cornell revealed to SPIN that Soundgarden are about to head into the studio with producer Adam Kasper to work on their first new album in 15 years. Cornell said, "We start recording in about a week in Seattle." Cornell also indicated that things are fluid for the newly reunited band, saying, "We don't have a schedule. It's not like we are going to go into the studio and come out when we're finished with an album. We're putting the music first."
Cornell finished, "The process of writing, recording and being creative together is the most important thing, not meeting a deadline." The band's schedule will be broken up, as Cornell has an acoustic tour ahead and drummer Matt Cameron has obligations with Pearl Jam. The singer also said that Soundgarden will be performing live again, too. Amen.
Are you stoked to hear new Soundgarden material when it's ready?
