Scary! Sporty! Baby! Ginger! Victoria Beckham! We meant Posh!
Rumor has it that the Spice Girls will reunite for the Queens' Diamond Jubilee, as per Mel B. AKA Scary Spice. She opened her mouth and inserted a platform-covered foot when she dropped the news during a TV interview down under. Let's hope her speaking out of turn doesn't kill the possibility of the Spice Girls performing!
The girls are planning to reform for a special gig at Buckingham Palace on June 4 in front of the Royal Family.
Mel B revealed the plans on Australian TV. She was asked if she and her gals, who have a soccer team of kids between them, would reform for the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony.
Mel replied, "Ooh, I think the Queen's Jubilee concert is the event I'd be looking at more closely for that to happen." She changed the subject after dropping that nugget of info.
According to Pink is the New Blog, Mel B. told the crew at the TV station that she had slipped and her revelation was not a mistake, but the truth. She said, "I am going to be in such strife for saying that. It's all so totally bloody top-secret still."
The line-up for the Queen's par-tay has yet to be announced and those who want to attend and celebrate with the monarch on the palace grounds can submit themselves for tickets via public ballot. It will also be broadcast on TV.
Does the prospect of a Spice Girls reunion excite you? Would you watch? Do you love the revelry of the monarchy in England?
