Korn merged heavy metal and electronic dance music better than anyone with The Path of Totality. However, ARTISTdirect.com editor in chief Rick Florino was curious if there was anyone else who offered metal heads a seamless gateway into the electronic dance music world.

So, he spoke to Sluggo, the progenitor of "metalstep", about the best EDM guys for metal and hardcore fans to listen to. Sluggo is quite the bass music badass himself and gave us a rundown of who to spin….

In the midst of his tour with Korn, Sluggo shared the below.

    Check it out below!

The Four Best DJs for Metalheads

    Sluggo

"First off, I'd say myself. I've got music on the horizon that really implies guitar. I'm doing some music with Wes Geer, who's Korn's touring guitarist. He used to be in (hed)p.e. Then, I've got Killbot with Jonathan Davis of Korn [J Devil] and Tyler Blue, which is going to be sick."

    Mantis

"There's another group called Mantis out of Atlanta. Those guys are actually doing this super heavy deathstep-style music. They're background is metal and hardcore. One of them used to sing for a metal band. They're super dope. That might hopefully get some metal and hardcore fans listening to electronic music."

    Zardonic

"There's a guy out of Venezuela named Zardonic. He's been doing the heavy metal-style electronic music for years. "

    J Devil

"J Devil isn't even dubstep. His music is electro goth-step. It's a completely different sound. People identify with Jonathan, and they'll be able to vibe on it. I like his originality. I like that he's doing something different, heavy, and original. It's not like he's doing something anyone has done before."
