Sticky Fingers are an Australian five piece band with more swagger and rock than your typical antipodean import. Currently enjoying the kind of reputation that comes from performing to sold out shows in their home country and along the West Coast of the USA, their third album, the tellingly titled "Westway (The Glitter & The Slums)" cements the band as being of significant interest for people who love tradition with a modern twist. Sticky Fingers' latest track "Sad Songs" and its accompanying video is an expansive bolt of energy that perfectly captures the essence of the band's approach to songwriting, touring and showmanship.
ARTISTdirect caught up with keyboardist Freddy Crabs who shared his musical memories, and perhaps offered some insight into the musical DNA that goes into the mix when writing new material for one of our favorite Australian bands.
