CartSum 41 "Blood In My Eyes" Song Review — 4 out of 5 stars

"Blood In My Eyes" shines light on the darker side of Sum 41.
Of course, there's a stadium-size hook in there and some meaty guitar riffing that's utterly undeniable. However, the bridge in the middle sees Deryck Whibley delivering an emotionally charged line in hypnotic fashion. Then, the track ramps back up like roller coaster into a thrash-y break that culminates on a theatrical, yet surf rock-style lead line that sounds plucked right from Pulp Fiction. It's a massive rock epic emblematic of how daring, diverse, and dynamic Sum 41 can be.
The group just unveiled an equally haunting music video for the song. In the narrative, a creepy driver picks up a female hitchhiker, and then everything spirals into pure maniacal madness. Nevertheless, our heroine gets hers in bloody good fashion…
You've got to see it to believe it. If you don't have Screaming Bloody Murder, it's brilliantly badass.
