Survivor Singer Jimi Jamison Dead at 63

Survivor singer Jimi Jamison has passed away at the age of 63. He had a heart attack and died on Sunday, August 31. How sad. We send our thoughts and prayers out to his family and friends.
In addition to his work with Survivor, Jamison was the co-writer and singer of the Baywatch theme "I'm Always Here."
His family posted this note on Facebook: "We are saddened and heartbroken to announce the passing of a great musician, loving father and grandfather, and overall extraordinary, giving, and kindhearted human being. He's loved by so many, most of all his family, and he will be incredibly missed by all. Please keep his family in your prayers, and please give them the privacy they need during this extremely difficult time. Thank you all for your condolences and kind words."
His bandmates also shared a note with fans on social media, posting: "Survivor is very shocked and saddened by the passing of our brother Jimi Jamison. Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to his friends and family."
Survivor were touring at the time of Jamison's death, with more gigs set for this month.
The family also requested any donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Jamison's favorite charity.
