They may be generations apart, but Susan Boyle and Lady Gaga really aren't that different. Okay, so maybe they really are worlds apart and I'd be a jackass to try and convince you otherwise, but that doesn't mean the two pop culture lightning rods couldn't, shouldn't and won't work together. Boyle, the unlikely moppet who rose to fame as the runner-up on Britain's Got Talent, has gone on record saying she admires Lady Gaga's style and would love to work with the pop music queen.
Boyle revealed to the The Daily Record that "I think Lady Gaga is a wonderful artist and completely original and I like her costumes. Love it! Yes, I'd love to do a duet with her, complete with telephone hat too!" Can you picture it? Su-Bo, as the delightfully cheeky British press refers to its reluctant star, in sky-high Louboutins and bright yellow hair?
Gaga may have to take a backseat, though, as Boyle also admitted that her biggest wish is to sing for the Pope when he visits the UK later this year. "The Pope is a very special person," Boyle stated. "Singing for him within the Mass, it's not just for him, it's for everybody."
Gaga or the Pope? How does one choose? Gaga is an infinitely better dresser, although we wouldn't put it past her to wear a Pontiff-inspired cloak, robe and/or hat in one of her outrageous ensembles.
Who would you rather see Lady Gaga duet with: Susan Boyle or the Pope?
