Sylvan Esso will be releasing a sophomore LP in 2017. Though details on the forthcoming record remain scarce, the duo - consisting of Mountain Men's Amelia Meath and Megafun's Nick Sanborn - have unveiled a song off the record, "Radio". The new song, along with its b-side, "Kick Jump Twist", will be released as a 12-inch single on November 18th.

"Radio" is only the second piece of new music released by the group since their debut self-titled LP hit the airwaves in May of 2014. That album was well-received by fans and critics, making its way all the way to number 39 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and to number four on the U.S. Top Electronic Albums charts. The duo also released "Jamie's Song" as part of NPR's Radiolab in August 2015, as a tribute to a story about bipolar disorder.

Sylvan Esso has a number of shows coming up, starting with a gig September 9th in Nashville, Tennessee. They will be playing at a number of festivals as well, including Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 10th; Long Beach, California's Music Tastes Good Festival on September 25th; Meadows Music Festival in Flushing Meadows, New York on October 1st, and a variety of others. Currently, their last tour date is set to take place on November 16th in San Francisco, California at the Treasure Island Music Festival. We expect they will head into the studio to finish the record after this, but who really knows.
