T.I. Being Sued By Concert Promoter

Yo, T.I. cannot catch a break. The rapper, who was sentenced to 11 months in jail for violating his probation on a drug charge, is being sued by a concert promoter who planned to host a "Welcome Back Party" to celebrate T.I.'s release from jail. The promoter refuses to accept T.I.'s excuse that he couldn't attend because he was under home confinement. Oh brother. Give the man a break.
Carl Davis has filed a lawsuit in Alabama District Court claiming he lost his life savings when he agreed to put up money for a May 28, Birmingham comeback performance by T.I. when he was first imprisoned on a weapons charge. Davis entered into the agreement with a man who represented himself as T.I.'s cousin, liaison and agent. Davis said everyone involved concealed the fact that T.I. was on probation and/or confinement.
Does this case against T.I. have any merit whatsoever?
