Grammy-winning rapper T.I. has discussed channeling his anguish for the soon-to-be-released King Uncaged. Tip said that the pain he experienced after his father's death and other personal losses are what fueled the new album, which has been pushed back so he can promote his new film Takers.
Speaking to an audience during a taped episode of VH1 Storytellers last week, the King of the South revealed a few of the album's songs and their key details, Rap-Up reports.
Tip premiered "Still Ain't Forgave Me" and "I Still Luv You," which he described as a very personal track and he speaks on the pain brought on by his father's death as well as the love he has for his children, despite the fact that he became a dad at a young age. The emcee told his audience that the taping was the right time, stage and place to showcase these tunes. Speaking between songs, T.I. also touched on other aspects of his personal life, including his stint as a drug dealer and his time in prison. He also took questions from the audience, addressing both his music and film careers and his future in both. Tip is fearless.
