T.I. spoke about having teenage daughters and how the time he spent in prison a few years ago taught him important lessons about how to deal with both women and relationships. He revealed these deets in the November issue of ELLE.
The rapper, who will release Paperwork next week [iTunes link], revealed that the hardest part about being a dad to a teenage girl is "knowing when to allow a little room for maturing and when to step in and put your foot down and discipline."
Ah, that's a fine line that all dads need to toe. Tip gets it.
As for how time in prison taught him about how to deal with ladies and relationships, T.I. made a great point. He said. "I saw so many guys worrying about their women and what they're doing and all that shit. They end up making their time so much harder on themselves. You don't know where they're at, so there's no use worrying yourself about it."
That's true! Nothing you can do about what's happening in front of bars when you are behind bars. You'll drive yourself nuts! That's a little nugget of wisdom from Tip.
What do you think of T.I.'s viewpoints?
