T.I. Won't Face Drug Charges in LA

Reuters reports that Los Angeles prosecutors have declined to file a felony drug charge against T.I. stemming from his arrest last month. T.I. was found with four ecstasy pills on him while driving on Sunset, and the charges were considered minor. He is also headed back to jail because the arrest violated his parole, so perhaps the prosecutors didn't want to waste tax payer's coin by beating a dead horse? Why add insult to injury, right?
Tip, as he is known, was on supervised release for federal weapons charges when he was arrested September 1. A judge then sentenced him to 11 months in prison for violating his probation. He was barely out of jail before being sent right back. What a shame.
Were Los Angeles prosecutors fair in deciding not to file charges against T.I.? Will King Uncaged suffer from this setback? T.I. is one of the top artists in hip-hop and a new T.I. album is an event! Should Atlantic release the platter while T.I. is in jail?
