4 Arm co-founder/drummer Michael Vafiotis entered the Take Aim ring today. We love him infinitely because he makes awesome rock music and he quotes Anchorman.

Michael Vafiotis. Drummer for the band 4ARM, sports enthusiast, fitness fiend, self-proclaimed master chef. Starbucks connoisseur, avid Star Wars geek, it's so damn hot.... Milk was a bad choice.

Any non-music hobbies, talents or skills?
I'm real big on sports. Fan of Liverpool FC and The Hawks in Australian Rules Football. I enjoy a hit of tennis now and then and go jogging a few days a week. Actually helps me stay in good shape for drumming. As for talents, I have the uncanny ability to take things without paying for them.
Pick ONE song on Submission for Liberty and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?
'Raise a Fist' is probably my favorite track on the album. That was also the last song we completed before going into the studio. It was however one of the first songs we starting writing. I distinctly remember spending hours and hours in Dan's [singer/guitarist Danny Tomb] garage trying to write that song, but we just didn't feel like we were progressing on it. We had a start and nothing solid after that. We were at our wits end with it and put in the pile of 'not for human absorption.' A month or so out, I was out for my morning jog and I hear this motor running from some dude's house, but this thing was making a weird noise that had an actual sequence to it. For some reason right there, I thought, 'Hey, this could be a killer drum pattern.' I got home added it to the chorus section of 'Raise a Fist.' From then the track was literally written in a day.
Finish this sentence: 4ARM are the band...
...that shouldn't be hired for weddings or bar mitzvahs.
