Leaves' Eyes' frontwoman Liv Kristine has the voice of an angel, so we invited her to Take Aim today.

She is one helluva lady, with interests in children and language, and cooking for her friends!

Twitter-size your bio -- your choice of 140 words or characters, if you want to get technical-- and tell us everything we need to know! GO!

Liv: I, Liv Kristine, was born 14.02.1976 near Stavanger, one freezingly cold morning. I grew up by the fjords of Norway. I have always had very strong connection to nature, which also inspires me when composing and writing lyrics. The two other most important things in my life are my dear family, and music. I have been composing and singing for as long as I can remember, but neither studied music nor music theory. I was co-founder of the world's first gothic metal band with female voices Theatre of Tragedy in the early '90s and the 'beauty and the beast' concept in metal. Sadly, this band doesn't exist anymore. In 2003, I founded Leaves' Eyes with my husband and producer, Alexander Krull, moreover, our son Leon Alexander was born the same year on 18.12, which I consider to be the best day of my life. In addition to Leaves' Eyes, I have continued releasing solo albums since 1998 and more will follow.

If you were not doing music, you would be...

...even more involved than I am now (next to being a full-time musician) in various projects concerning first-and second-language acquisition in children, especially those with special needs. I would run a school with a completely different teaching and learning approach compared to the conservative system we've had here in the official schools for way too long, moreover, I would focus much more on the positive effects of music.

Any non-music hobbies, talents or skills?

I love languages and their phonetic systems, also ancient ones, as well as orthographic systems. I love vegetarian-vegan cooking for my friends and family. I also do paint every now and then. I've been running, swimming, skiing and spending time in the nature for as long as I can remember. Yoga has become a very important daily "routine" to me, moreover, every Friday I will be in the Finnish sauna with my best friends. Many people have told me that I am able to spread good karma and energy, something my mother always has conveyed to us children.

Pick ONE song one your record and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?

Liv: On my last solo album, Libertine, I covered Kate Bush's ballad 'The Man With a Child in his Eyes,' my absolute favorite Kate Bush track! Actually it was my best friend who had this idea...during a party after having been very thirsty at the downtown Irish pub. Well, despite the fact that we had been partying really hard, we decided to just enter the studio (our own Mastersound Studio) and record it, more than tipsy, at 3AM. I think it turned out extremely well, to be honest. It's on the album!

Will you be checking out more material from Liv and Leaves' Eyes?
