Thu, 23 Jan 2014 12:37:10
Today's Take Aim opponent is Mia Martina, a rising pop star. She is a fashion junkie, she's trilingual and she loves sinking into the couch and its butt groove with a good movie!
She's Canadian, she's cute and she will make you want to do dance. Or "Danse," like the title of her new club banger single "La La...Danse."

If you were not doing music, you would be...
A stylist or fashion designer - I'm a total fashion junkie. Anyone who knows me knows that I love everything and anything about fashion!
Any non-music hobbies, talents or skills?
Yes, I am trilingual! I am fluent in French, English and Spanish. Also, in my downtime, I love to lay on the couch and watch a great movie.
Pick ONE song on your record and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?
The first time I heard 'Miles Away,' a record on my first album Devotion, I connected deeply with the lyrics. It reminded me of how my mother felt when I moved away for college. My mother and I have a great bond; it's almost like we share thoughts and feel each other's sadness when we're apart: 'I can hear your voice when you're whispering though you're miles away..' The first time my mom heard that song, she cried. It's heartwarming to make music that other's can experience and connect with - it's why I enjoy what I do.
Finish this sentence: Mia Martina is the artist that...
Knows how to make people DANCE!
