A restless songwriter. Content with being discontent. Homebody and traveller. Cats > dogs because they have more jungle in them.

If you were not doing music, you would be...

It's tough to imagine not doing music! But, if I had to do something else, I'd probably like to be an astronaut. I'm very curious about all the unknown and undiscovered that's in the universe.

Any non-music hobbies, talents or skills?

Not many. I dabble in photography... If watching the Lakers can be considered a hobby, that's one for me; even this season.

Pick ONE song on your EP and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you.

'Still Here' was recorded in the fall; October-November-ish. A few months before, I'd lost my voice after playing a show while sick. I couldn't speak, much less sing. A couple of times before, I'd lost my voice for a few days. But this was much, much worse. I was practically mute. I went to the doctor and had the pleasure of experiencing a micro camera shoved up my nose and down my throat. Fun! Without getting into the details of his diagnosis, the doctor told me not to try to sing for two or three months!

I was a little scared because he said there was no predicting how my voice would sound or how singing would feel after the time off. Nonetheless, Brina, my band and I continued to work on new songs with Brina often singing a reference lead vocal. When it came time for me to try singing again, it wasn't good. I felt like a boy entering puberty! Finally, though, after a few weeks of nail-biting patience and persistence, my voice came around and we got the lead vocal to 'Still Here.' Brina and I celebrated by vacationing in NYC for a few days!

    ...is never satisfied.
