Say hi to Risa Binder, the country singer and sweetheart who is today's Take Aim opponent. She's so sweet she likes to turn people on to sweet shops in the cities she frequents. Really!

If you were not doing music, you would be...
I can't imagine my life without performing my music.
Any non-music hobbies, talents or skills?
I love to bake, and would love to be on a sitcom one day as the quirky girl next door, and I love telling people where to get great coffee and desserts in Nashville, New York and Los Angeles.
Pick ONE song on your record and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?
Well, I got to sing a song on my new EP called 'Easy to Remember' that one of my songwriting heroes, Matraca Berg, co-wrote. We had never met and I was wondering if she had heard my version of her song.
A few weeks ago, I decided to check out a boutique I had never been to before called Ani & Ari. I walked in and it was just me in the boutique and then Matraca Berg walked in. Just her and me in the store. My songwriting hero and me. I felt like God was knocking me over the head with a hammer saying, 'Go talk to her,' so I somehow got the courage to introduce myself and say, 'Hi, I'm Risa Binder, I just recorded one of your songs, 'Easy to Remember,' and it's in my iPhone right now.' She was so amazing and said, 'Let me hear it." I played her the song right there in the boutique and I was beyond nervous. Thank God she liked it!! A true Magical Nashville moment.
Finish this sentence: Risa Binder is the artist that...
...you want to listen to...her songs make you smile.
