Take Aim: Amy Sciarretto vs. Rosco Bandana's Jason Sanford

When I was younger and in grade school, you used to get rewarded with, like, a pat on the back for being able to spell Mississippi right. Besides having a lot of repeated letters, The Hospitality State is rich in southern history and populated by some of the nicest people you'd ever wanna meet, so when I heard that Mississippians Rosco Bandana were campaigning to rewrite the state song, thanks to an initiative pushed by a local politician, I had to find out more about their love for their native region! Therefore, I invited them into the ring for a Take Aim session. It was more like a backyard porch chat.
The song, "Feels Like Mississippi" is killer and SHOULD be christened the new state song!
Rosco Bandana's Jason Sanford stepped in the Take Aim ring to suckerpunch me with the reasons with his state is so great. I have similar mad pride for my home state of New Jersey, so I can relate.
We wish Rosco Bandana the best of luck on their song representin' Ol' Miss.
If you were not doing music, you would be...
I would be doing landscaping and farming.
Any non-music hobbies or skills or talents?
I have a BFA in Graphic Design and I enjoy painting, sculpting, blacksmithing, and drawing.
This Mississippi state song campaign is thrilling! What is your No. 1 source of Mississippi pride? Favorite thing about being from Mississippi?
My number one source of pride is in the musical roots that so many artists source from. My favorite thing about being from Mississippi is the hospitality and support that Mississippians have for everyone.
Biggest misconception about the state?
That most Mississippians are just a bunch of shoeless backwoods folk, which is completely untrue.
If the song is chosen, how will you celebrate?
If the song is chosen I will celebrate by playing it for all of Mississippi.
What can we expect from Rosco Bandana in 2013 - shameless self plug time!
That the whole world may know who we are and sing along with our songs.
