Sean Sullivan released his new album Hereafter this week so we invited him to celebrate in the BEST way possible -- by taking part in a Take Aim Q+A. We're happy to report than the Double S, who has been deemed the "next" Harry Connick, Jr., understood that the whole point of this column is to be fun and smart alec-like.
He mixes Americana with folk and blues into his Latin jazz signature blend. We love it.

That was impressive! If you were not doing music, you would be...
Sleeping, probably teaching a class in obscure and edgy literature ensconced in some radical Ivory Tower.
Any non-music hobbies, talents or skills?
Funny character voices, tree-climbing, answering Q&A's like a smartass...
Pick ONE song on your new record and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?
I wrote the title song 'Hereafter' in the dead of night, camping by myself in a tent, thirsting and delirious from hundred degree weather and humongous humidity. Thank God I was right on the Delaware River near New Hope, Pa. I survived the days lolling like a beached whale in the shallows. In hindsight, I was burning in Hades already so the 'heavenly dream' I had at the time must have been a welcome mirage.
Finish this sentence: Sean Sullivan is the artist that...
...has one foot on the street and the other in a stream...
Listen to "Don't Get Me Started." It's our kinda jam.
Did you dig Sean Sullivan and his awesomely smart ass answers?
