Take Aim: Amy Sciarretto vs. Steven A. Clark
Mon, 01 Oct 2012 11:06:29
Ladies and gents, may we introduce you to Steven A. Clark? The onetime golfer and North Carolinan released his album Fornication Under the Consent of the King and we decided that he would be an excellent candidate for a Take Aim chat. Since it is indeed up to us.
If you were not a musician, you would be...
I have no idea, haven't thought about it in a long time, but it would probably be something just as time consuming as making music.
Any non-musical skills, hobbies or talents?
Yeah, I used to play golf.
Please give us your Twitter-sized bio: 140 words (or characters, whichever you prefer) of EVERYTHING we need to know.
From Fayetteville, NC, quit school and moved to Miami to make music, meet girls, and party. Now I make music full time, party less, and write about my problems with girls.
Pick one song on Fornication Under the Consent of the King and break it down for us - share a writing or recording story that we'd only know because you told us!
I wrote the hook for "Don't have you" with the intentions to give it to a rapper friend of mine, we were both going through similar girl issues at the time but I ended up diving way too deep into my own personal situation that I ended up having to ask him to let me keep it for myself. He understood and had no problem with it.
Care to expand on that clever and vivid title?
It means many different things, I was basically saying fuck love and relationships. It started off being "Fornication Under Consent King... Love" but I dropped the love. I guess its pretty open to interpretation.
