Take Aim: Amy Sciarretto vs. Tad Morose's Christer "Krunt" Anderson
Mon, 06 Jan 2014 14:20:26
We invited Tad Morose guitarist and founding member Christer "Krunt" Anderson to Take Aim today. We like heavy metal so we wanted to add some heft and weight to today's column.
Twitter-size your bio -- 140 words, if you want to get technical-- and tell us everything we need to know!
Formed back in 1991 and has so far released seven studio albums, toured and played festival stages on both sides of the Atlantic, Wacken Open Air (Germany), Sweden Rock Festival and Prog Power Festival (US) to name a few. Now with three new band members and their long awaited new album Revenant soon to be released they are ready to take on the world again.
If you were not doing music, you would be...
A more present father, I guess. And probably acting my age? I bet I would not have drank as many beers either. Ha! No, honestly, I don't know really.
Can you share any of your non-music hobbies, talents or skills?
World War I and World War II things and stories seems to catch my interest since I was a little kid. Don't know why. And talents? Hmmm, drawing perhaps. Carpentry. Built my own house and my two kids get very good remarks from school about their drawing skills. I like building things after my own ideas. However, I also like to break things!
Pick ONE song off Revenant and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate which you have not really told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists). Something that would put us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?
'Spirit World.' That song has been with me for a very long time. And it wasn't until Ronny came up with the lyrics and vocal lines that everything fell into its place. I always had the feeling that it could be a great song. So obviously because of me saying that, that song will probably be the least liked song on the album by the listeners. I came up with the clean intro a long time ago just sitting with the guitar in the middle of the night all by myself not really paying attention to what I was doing and all of a sudden my mind, for some reason, started to pay attention to what the fingers were doing. And the rest came pretty naturally. So in a way that song came to life a little bit on its own - the way it should be really. It is kind of like that the songs are there somewhere and it is just a matter of getting a hold of them. Sounds weird perhaps? Well, it is weird I guess.
Finish this sentence: Tad Morose is the group which...
...comes from Bollnäs, Sweden and plays heavy metal and who took 10 years to get the bloody new album out! And they say that you are supposed to play their new album Revenant, LOUD! [iTunes link]
Will you be checking out Tad Morose and Revenant?
