TARLD is an incredible and powerful live band making music since 2005, publically heralded by many international bands and festivals - come see for yourself!
If you were not doing music, you would be…
Elio would be an horror movie director, specializing in Zombie movies! Maxxx would be a great soccer or basketball player since he jumps really high. Greg would a great woodcutter and that's not a joke! He loves chainsaws! Julien would be a trucker – alone in his big truck, listening to trucker music like AC/DC, Steel Panther or Airbourne at the loudest possible volume!
Any non-music hobbies, talents or skills?
Elio: I love retrogaming! I've got at least 1000 old school games and many gaming stations at home.
Max: I love cooking/grilling, BBQ and cookout parties. I really enjoy having a bunch of friends over to watch a soccer game, play poker and enjoy some badass BBQ! On the soccer front – I'm not good at it, but I really like it!
Julien: I love taking rides up into the mountains and stopping to have lunch (preferably a sandwich) at 2500 meters in the sky, so basically hiking mixed with picnics. I also love skiing with my brother, just relaxing with a beer, and riding motorcycles with friends. In addition to what Max said, I also love BBQ parties and eating BBQ!
Greg: Fishing and of course, cutting trees!
Pick ONE song one your record and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?
Oh man... let's talk about 'Hide Behind Your Sunglasses.' We recorded this track on our seventh day in the studio. We recorded this album live, and if you've ever done that before, you know it's pretty tough!
This song is really easy to play, but apparently not easy to sing, according to our singer. But we were really tired I guess...
Each of us were not bringing our game that day – we were all playing terribly. So we needed to restart the recording of the song about 100 times (or more?!). We were about to literally spit on each other and our drummer was so stressed because he had a sore neck, arms, shoulders. Finally he began to cry like a baby and it evacuated all of the tension between us. After a 15-minute break and beers, everyone calmed down, and we recorded the song quickly without a hitch! It came out sounding really amazing – sometimes you just have to let it all out!
Finish this sentence: The Amsterdam Red Light District is the artist that…
...will blow your mind ON STAGE.
Trucker music. Retrogaming. It's all here.
Are you now a fan like we are?
