Today's Take Aim opponent is the indie rock group TORCHES. They are food nuts. They have shed a few studio tears. Oh, and space. They like space. Sort of. It's all here.
Both members spoke to us for this Take Aim. Get to know them now, since we are expecting BIG things for 'em.

TORCHES are an indie rock group tied together by a shared nostalgia from the music of their youth and dreams for the future. They have been making their mark in the L.A. music scene with their dark, indie/rock -filled with lush guitars, infectious harmonies, and pounding, tribal drums. After releasing the If The People Stare EP in May of 2013, the group headlined a SOLD OUT residency at The Echo.
If you were not doing music, you would be…
Hopefully in outer space.

Yes, it counts as a hobby. Pick ONE song one your record and share a writing or recording story. Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?
There's a mostly instrumental song we've been kicking around called 'Trembling' and this one really took shape in the studio. We were concerned with how it was going to turn out, if it would be majestic enough, blah...and after layering and layering it all came together. We listened back through the speakers and didn't really believe it was us who made the song. For a moment the song sent shivers up our spines, maybe a few tears were shed. Shhhh…
Finish this sentence: TORCHES is the artist that…
Thanks, TORCHES! Kids, follow them on twitter, or on Facebook!
