Amy Sciarretto was game for a Take Aim with Vacationer's Kenny Vasoli. She was interested since they just released an awesome new music video for the song "Trip," with the help of Lomography cameras! He's been a musician since he was 16, so he's seasoned and was ready to tackle the questions. We still lobbed softballs. We were in a good and generous mood!

If you were not doing music, you would be:

I really can't say, I've been a touring musician since I was 16-years-old so the question of what to do with my future was never prominent for me.

Do you have any non-musical hobbies/skills/talents?

I can crudely edit videos. I also enjoy distance running. That's about it, music remains my passion as well as my occupation.

Twitter-sized bio time! 140 words of everything we need to know about your band.

(140 characters…right? I think I can do it in less.) Relaxation inducing sonic specialists, delivering a mixture of slow motion surf and dream-pop/trip-hop.

That was impressive but we were being generous by allowing 140 words, as opposed to characters! Can you share a writing or recording story behind "Trip?"

I was on tour with a band filling in on bass when my writing partners, Grant and Matt, sent me the initial loop that became "Trip." It was the first sequence that had a hip-hop tempo. I remember being so excited at the idea of writing my style of vocal over top of chopped hip-hop, I started working on it right away backstage at one of the shows. Once I came home, the final recording came together quicker than any other song on the record.

Why did you choose these types of cameras for the vid?
BR> Lomography had expressed interest in teaming up with us early. As soon as we began conceiving the treatment for the video, we planned on using their LomoKino camera. I'm glad we did. I love the warm analog feel and choppy stop-motion effect of the footage. I think it fits the song perfectly.
