Take Aim: Tyler Bryant Vs. Amy Sciarretto
Tue, 27 Mar 2012 14:10:00
Tyler Bryant, 20, loves music, but he ripped himself away from his beloved tunes and instruments and his band Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown for five minutes to engage in a quick and fun Take Aim with ARTISTdirect.com resident smart ass Amy Sciarretto.
The band's debut full length is due on Carved later this year.
Bryant, along with Jeff Beck, Santana, and Slash, is featured in the award winning film, Rock Prophecies, which is now airing nationally on PBS and is available on DVD.

If you were not doing music, you would be...:
Out of luck.
Any non-music hobbies, talents or skills?
I wish I could say something really exciting here, but I got nothing. Sitting here racking my brain and almost everything I do revolves around music.
Pick one of your songs and share any sort of inside/color details about it - be it the writing or recording process. Put us there with you, as if we were in the moment.
One of my favorite songs from the new record is a song called "Still Young." It's about taking a step back and enjoying the moment you're in before the good times pass. We had a blast recording it and it always feels so good to play live. In the chorus, there's a part where we all scream "HEY KIDS" really loud and when we were recording it, it sounded like we were screaming "HEY KEDS." Who knows, maybe we'll get some cool white slip ons.
Can you tell us a little more about Rock Prophecies ?
Rock Prophecies is a documentary about rock photographer Robert Knight and all the people involved in his crazy fast paced life. It's an inside look into the world of rock and roll. It features some of my favorite artists and I was honored to be a part of such an amazing film.

I'm a music man. I like to rock out when the sun goes down. I write songs, play them live, then I go somewhere else and play em' all again.
Sounds like our kinda guy! Are you going to check out Tyler Bryant?
