Tanya Tucker, a country music icon since first recording Alex Harvey's classic "Delta Dawn" in 1972 while still a teenager, has signed with APA Nashville.
That is good news! Why? Well, although she took time off these past few years to raise her children, the legendary songstress is now prepping to hit the road once again with a new tour and new music.
Slated for release later this year, the new tracks will be included in her first album since 2009's My Turn.
Yay! Tanya Tucker is back!
"I've taken a few years off and it is time to get back on the road," said Tucker. "I am really excited to perform all the hits that the fans love so much, and sing a few new songs that I have been working on.”
Steve Lassiter, SVP/Partner and Head of Concerts at APA Nashville, knows just what his company has in Tanya Tucker and he's ready to bring that blend of music and personality to the masses once more.
"We are so delighted to be working with Tanya Tucker once again," said Lassiter. "She is simply one of those artists that is an American original, where you don't have to doubt who it is when you're listening to her. The fans have always been responsive to her live show, so this is nothing but a win-win for everyone concerned."
