CartTaylor Swift Donates $10,000 to School for the Deaf

Taylor Swift has such a generous heart and soul! The "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer made a $10,000 donation to a Massachusetts school for deaf children after it was pulled into an Internet prank involving the singer and a contest.
Swift launched a Facebook competition where the grand prize was a performance at whatever school got the highest number of votes. Internet hucksters and hoaxters voted for the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, intimating that Swift should perform for deaf kids since her music is so bad. Sorta mean, right?
The school was removed from the running due to the way it took the lead, but Swift still donated $10,000, which has been matched by four other sponsors. She also donated a ticket to each student for her next local concert.
So a prank ended up helping the school net tens of thousands in donations and the kids get to see Swift at a show.
Alls well that ends well.
