Taylor Swift Is Being Sued

Any Swiftie worth their salt knows that 13 is Taylor Swift's lucky number.
Well, the singer is being sued over her connection with the number.
Here's the skinny: Swift is being sued by Blue Sphere, Inc., which does business as Lucky 13. The company is alleging trademark infringement, trademark dilution, unfair competition and other counts.
Essentially, the company believes that T. Swizzle's association with and love of the number confuses the marketplace and is a problem for their bottom line.
The suit claims that Lucky 13's brand was damaged by Swift as far back as March 2012, when she began to market and sell attire that had the phrase "Lucky 13" on it. The company says that Swift did not request permission to license the copyright.
The suit read: "Swift's conduct has been and will continue to be malicious, fraudulent, deliberate, willfull, intentional, and in disregard of Plaintiffs' intellectual property rights," claiming that her use "undeniably and squarely fits within the exact same consumer demographic." Essentially, the company thinks it competes with Swift for sales and that her sales take away from their sales.
Hmm, none of this sounds very Taylor Swift-like.
Team Taylor Swift or Team Blue Sphere?
