In one year, you too will be able to smell like Taylor Swift! Elizabeth Arden, Inc. is partnering up with the lovely and talented Swift to develop and market her own line of fragrance products. The first fragrance will debut in prestige retail outlets in North America during the Fall of 2011. Swift will be personally involved in all aspects of product development, packaging and advertising. That means she will give her input and feedback on the scent as it is concocted by chemists; will have a say in the bottle design; and will appear in the print and TV advertising for the scent. Eau de Swift is on its way.
"We are very enthusiastic about partnering with Taylor Swift," said Ronald Rolleston, Executive Vice President of Elizabeth Arden. "Her rise to superstardom has been meteoric, and her multiple awards and incredible record sales are a testament to her extraordinary talent. Equally important to us is what Taylor represents as an artist: a role model who inspires her global fan base every day. We look forward to launching a new fragrance brand that reflects every facet of this extremely talented young artist."
"I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts," said Taylor Swift in a statement. "Lately I've been having fun experimenting with combining some of my favorite scents, so I'm really excited about working with Elizabeth Arden to develop my own unique fragrance."
Hey, if someone whose image is as tarnished and tartish as Britney Spears can launch an entire best-selling range of scent products, why can’t someone as wholesome and confectionary as Swift do the same?
