Taylor Swift has been named the recipient of the Harmony Award, which she will receive at the annual Symphony Ball to be held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Dec. 10. The award is handed out by the Nashville Symphony.
The honor recognizes a group or singer who best embodies the "spirit of harmony" of Swift's adopted hometown of Nashville. She is originally from Pennsylvania, but is most closely associated with Nashville.
A statement from Alan Valentine, the Nashville Symphony CEO and president, read as follows: "We are proud to call our home Music City, and Taylor Swift is the perfect person to receive this award, because she has contributed so tremendously to promoting this amazing community of which we are all a part."
Previous Harmony Award recipients include Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood. So Tay Tay is in good company!
Congrats to Taylor Swift on yet another accolade.
