The 1975 Announce Tour Dates

Manchester-based quartet The 1975 will return to the U.S. as support for The Neighbourhood for a stateside tour in June. They will also perform two headlining shows in California in July and will shortly be announcing a full U.S. headline tour for October 2013.
The 1975 initially started as a punk band, formed when singer-guitarist Matthew Healy, guitarist Adam Hann, drummer George Daniel, and bassist Ross MacDonald were in high school. Since then, the band has honed an original sound which has attracted praise from assorted tastemaker blogs for their blend of brooding art rock, crisp electronica, dance-floor R&B, and glossy '80s pop, as well as Healy's stories of lust, intoxication, and the unabashed grittiness of modern youth.
The 1975 have just finished work on their debut album, which they co-produced with Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Foals, and The Kooks). "Our record will be everything that we are," says Healy. "It is the sum of our combined experiences to date."
