It's a victory for The Beastie Boys. A HUGE victory.

Remaining members Mike D and Ad-Rock won $1.7 million in damages for copyright infringement. The duo sued Monster Energy Drink, which used Beastie songs without permission in a 2012 online video tribute to late band member Adam Yauch aka MCA.

Monster's legal team claimed that the beverage co. thought it was able to use songs, like "Sabotage," and asked the jury to lower the damages to $125,000. That obviously did not happen.

What do you think of this decision by the jury?
