Those Black Eyed Peas are such philanthropists! Especially when it hits close to home.
The group raised at least $1.3 million to help flood recovery efforts in Minot, ND after playing a benefit concert on Saturday at the North Dakota State Fair Grandstand.
The Peas drew nearly 16,000 fans to the show, which featured an appearance from actor and Minot native Josh Duhamel, husband of the band's resident diva Fergie. That's where the "close to home" connection comes in to play.
Nearly one-fourth of the city's residents were evacuated earlier this summer when the Souris River flooded the town!
