The Decemberists Extend U.S. Tour

The Decemberists have added another leg to their previously announced U.S. tour. This one gets started on July 17 in Seattle and runs through an August 11 gig in Detroit. As with the rest of the trek, the band will perform two sets at each show—one front-to-back rendition of their new album, The Hazards of Love, and one that covers their entire career. Lavender Diamond’s singer (Becky Stark) and Ms. My Brightest Diamond herself (Shara Worden) will join the band onstage throughout.

In other news, the Decemberists will play The Colbert Report for the second time on April 27.
