    The Doors drummer John Densmore will release The Doors: Unhinged – Jim Morrison's Legacy Goes on Trial on April 17 via Amazon.com.

    The tome tracks the recent lawsuits Densmore dealt with the other surviving members of the band. He has tried to keep The Doors music from being used commercially and tried to prevent the other members from using the name while touring. Those battles lead to him being labeled a "communist and anarchist."

    John has posted on Facebook about how the book will contain a 'healing statement':

    "Recent Google alerts said my new book will expose the feud between the band members... may I re-phrase... Yes, it will trace the struggle Jim's estate & I went through to preserve the name The Doors, but at the end will have a healing statement of my caring for my musical brothers...jd"
