The Doors Says That Jim Morrison Didn't Need to be Pardoned

The remaining members of The Doors have said that they "don't feel Jim [Morrison] needs to be pardoned for anything" in response to the state of Florida's recent pardoning of their late lead singer 40 years after an alleged incident of public obscenity and indecency at a Miami concert in 1969. "Whatever took place that night ended with The Doors sharing beers and laughter in the dressing room with the Miami police, who acted as security at the venue that evening. No arrests were made," the band said in a statement.
Do you think the posthumous pardon was even necessary? I have said repeatedly that the conviction, which Morrison never faced because he died in France, only served to increase the lore and mythos of Morrison.
