Omaha's The Good Life will embark on their first tour in four years this August, playing a handful of West Coast shows.

In June of 2010, The Good Life --Tim Kasher, Stefanie Drootin-Senseney, Ryan Fox, and Roger Lewis-- played a handful of shows and quietly walked away from the band that had been part of their lives for over a decade.

Frontman Kasher moved cross-country a few times, eventually landing in Chicago, releasing Cursive and solo records, and doing an almost endless amount of touring. Bassist Drootin-Senseney moved to Los Angeles and formed the band Big Harp with husband Chris, and they also became the parents of two. Drummer Lewis was the lone Good Life'r who stayed in Omaha, playing and touring with his other bands Conduits and Oquoa. Guitarist Fox packed up for Portland and has spent his time working on solo material, recording and touring with label-mate Jake Bellows, and starting his own tape label, Majestic Litter.

Despite everything that moved them in different directions, they were never really ready to call The Good Life over. On the upcoming tour, they'll be pulling from their full catalogue and bringing along Big Harp to open, making these shows more continuation than reunion.

AUG. 6 SAN FRANCISCO, CA CHAPEL*
AUG. 7 LOS ANGELES, CA THE ECHO*
AUG. 8 SANTA ANA, CA THE OBSERVATORY*
AUG. 9 SAN DIEGO, CA THE CASBAH*
