Elton John isn't only working with Lady Gaga on new projects these days; seems the British superstar, who released his 32nd studio album, Wonderful Crazy Night, last Friday, is also collaborating with the Killers on their new record. Consequence of Sound reported, "it appears the two kindred spirits will officially be joining forces in the studio. In a new video interview with Shazam (watch below), John spilled the beans, mentioning he has plans to fly to the Killers' hometown of Las Vegas to work on their next album, the follow-up to 2012's Battle Born. Given their shared music taste and onscreen chemistry, the collaboration should yield some nice results."
The Killers have not produced a new album since 2012's Battle Born, but lead vocalist Brandon Flowers did release his sophomore recording, The Desired Effect, last May. John added in his interview with Shazam, "When Brandon makes a record — whether it's for the Killers or on his own — he comes and plays me the album," adding, "Usually, I'm very happy and excited to hear it. And I usually play mine to him."
No release date has been announced for the upcoming Killers album nor has a title been revealed. The band currently has two scheduled shows, the first on April 6th in their hometown at the Las Vegas Arena, and a second concert on July 22nd at WayHome Music and Arts Festival in Oro-Medonte, Canada.
