Our favorite American/English, male/female duo, The Kills, is releasing an acoustic EP. The Echo Home — Non-Electric EP will be available digitally and as a limited edition 10-inch vinyl release via Domino in June.
The album is in celebration of the band's first ever release, Black Rooster EP, 15 years ago. It features five tracks, "Wait" from that famed first record, a stripped down version of "That Love" from last year's Ash & Ice, two versions of "Echo Home", and a cover of Rihanna's "Desperado".
The duo unveiled their spare version of "Desperado" during an appearance on Sirius XMU. And yesterday, the band shared a music video featuring the twosome performing the track.
The digital release will be available on June 2nd. The 1000-run limited edition vinyl will be released on August 18th and it's currently available for pre-order.
The Kills are set to begin their European tour on May 27th with a concert in Liverpool, England. On the tour they will be supporting rock giants Guns N' Roses, Foo Fighters, and Bon Jovi. The band will also be playing at a number of festivals, including NorthSide Festival in Abyhoj, Denmark; Nos Alive in Lisbon, Portugal; and Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary.
